Both the Spurs and the Bucks couldn’t get the job done last night. Turns out betting on teams missing key starters due to COVID is a recipe for losing bets. I’ll try to keep that in mind tonight as I make my picks. Additionally, I’m noticing that I’ve gravitated towards teams that have been in somewhat of a slump. I’m going to try to pay attention to that as we move along here and coincidentally, test out betting on teams that are on a roll heading into tonight.

Todays Picks
Pick #1: $2.00 on the Toronto Raptors+4 (vs. the Phoenix Suns) -110
This first pick neatly summarizes all of the strategies/observations I have made over the last few days. The Suns are missing Cam Johnson and Landry Shamet, while only Gary Trent and Scottie Barnes are listed as Day-to-Day, meaning they have a chance to play tonight. Furthermore, the Raptors are on fire as of late. They’re on a 6 game winning streak, 7-3 in their last 10, and Fred Van Vleet is balling. The Suns have certainly been one of the best teams in the NBA all season, but are only 6-4 in their last 10. Additionally, I believe this line has ticked in favor of the Raptors. This one checks most of the boxes, so hopefully, this will get me on the board!
Pick #2: $2.00 on the Memphis Grizzlies ML (vs. the Golden State Warriors) +110
How could I not bet the Grizzlies while I’m posting my picks each night on OLL? I’m not one to feel confident about my team typically, but the Grizz are on fire right now (9 straight wins). Ja Morant was named Western Conference Player of the week for a second straight week (aka he’s on one) and Jaren Jackson Jr. has really come into his own on the defensive end as of late. Klay being back is worrisome and Steph has been an MVP-level player, but with Draymond missing the game tonight, I think the Grizz can take advantage of the hole he leaves on defense and his facilitation on offense. No matter the outcome, get on the Grizz train now while you still can!
Pick #3: $4.00 NBA Super Boost – Ja Morant and Steph Curry each over 19.5 points +120
When I saw this one, I had to do it. I would say 19.5 points seems suspiciously low, but they are both great defensively despite the exciting offense these two teams put on the floor each night too. But with Ja on a hot streak right now and Steph being Steph, this felt like a no-brainer. One of these will cash for me eventually…
