Back in the black! Albeit barely… but winnings are winnings. I was all over the Thunder grabbing a victory in Brooklyn and wished I had doubled down on it even more. My other bet of the night was so close. Just kidding. The Bucks waxed the Warriors. Meanwhile, my non-bet reverse-jinx of the Grizzlies worked and they took care of business against the Timberwolves.

Todays Picks
I don’t particularly like the slate tonight. A lot of heavy favorites and a few underdogs I don’t trust. I might need to lean into bets that don’t feel good, like Yank and I did with much success during the NFL season, but I won’t be going that direction tonight. Instead, I’m sticking with the underdog and hot teams strategy.
Pick #1: $2.00 on the Golden State Warriors ML (@ the Chicago Bulls) +130
Well, either I’m a curse for the Warriors, or I’ll be the first in line when they finally get back to their winning ways. I don’t really like taking them in a back-to-back but I think they’ll be pissed after last night’s blowout. On the Bulls side Caruso remains out tonight, and while Lonzo is still a great defensive guard, missing that extra defender could pose a challenge. Finally, the line has shifted in favor of the Warriors. It opened at GS+4 and is now GS+3.
Pick #2: $2.00 on the Memphis Grizzlies-2.5 (vs. the Dallas Mavericks) -110
As arguably the main reason for this blog series, I’m going with my Grizz tonight. It is a back-to-back game for the Grizz and at a weird time (10:00), but I like how the Grizz are playing, the energy around them, and the matchup. They’ve played really well against the Mavs thus far. This is an important game, so I’m expecting the Grizz to get up for this one.
