The last time I left here, I came out victorious. I went 3 of 4 on the night and added a few morning winnings back to my pot. I took yesterday off from basketball only to lose all of my money on football… Alas, that subject is for a different post. Tonight, I’ll be focusing on some favorites that are going up against weaker competition despite close lines. Yes, this is counter to my strategy that has been relatively successful lately, but I think the favorites are going up against overvalued underdogs and I don’t love the other matchups. We’ll see if it works.
Pick #1: $2.00 on the Milwaukee Bucks-5.5 (@ the Atlanta Hawks) -110
This one is simple. The Hawks have been bad this season and the Bucks are good. Yes, the Bucks are on the road, but the Hawks have also been particularly bad at home (8-11 on the season). I’m expecting Giannis to bring it and want to crush the team the Bucks went up against in the Eastern Conference Finals last season.
Pick #2: $2.00 on the Phoenix Suns-3.5 (@ the San Antonio Spurs) -110
The Phoenix Suns have been on a pretty nice ride as of late. They’ve won four straight and have the best record in the NBA. This probably should be my underdog pick of the night since the Suns are on the second night of a back-to-back, but as they’ve demonstrated all season, the Suns just win more games than they lose. I’m not expecting much difference here tonight.
Pick #3: $2.00 on the Utah Jazz-4.5 (@ the Los Angeles Lakers) -110
I was quite successful going against the Lakers last time out and despite LeBron’s apology to #LakerNation, I don’t think anything will change for the Lakers. The Jazz have demonstrated that they’re one of the best teams in the league and the Lakers are definitely not. Not a whole lot more to add to this one.
One Last Line
