Intro by Sam
Tis the time of the year for the annual OLL Thanksgiving Day picks (supplemented with the Black Friday game). We’re coming off a pretty rough stretch on Sunday, so there’s nothing quite like a loaded Thursday stretch. With clear picks, full bellies, we can’t lose.
Thanksgiving Day
The Chicago Bears @ the Detroit Lions-10
The New York Giants @ the Dallas Cowboys-3.5
The Miami Dolphins @ the Green Bay Packers-3.5
Black Friday
The Las Vegas Raiders @ the Kansas City Chiefs-13
Bet #1 Bread and Butter: The Detroit Lions-10
Yank: Hope your family is ready to eat their annual dose of kneecaps. This Lions continue to demolish teams like me with plate full of Thanksgiving stuffing. No reason to get off the train now.
Sam: All you need to know about this bet is the title. We’ll keep betting on the Lions until they put a law in place that you can’t bet on them anymore.
Yank’s Bet: $10.50 on Bread and Butter (-105)
Sam’s Bet: $5.00 on Bread and Butter (-105)
Bet #2 Turkey Dinner with a Side of Stuffing: 3 Team 10 point Parlay – Chiefs-3, Giants+12.5, Lions-0.5
Sam: This bet is a whole meal. With these high lines and good teams versus bad teams, we knocked the big faves of Chiefs and Lions down and threw in the Giants because they’re playing the Cowboys. Even if I can’t see the Giants winning, I don’t know how this game isn’t a bad-off.
Yank: Lions just to win? Check. Chiefs to win by a field goal? Check. We used that extra juice to move the Giants line way up to 12.5. The Cowboys are unlikely to look good two weeks in a row right? RIGHT?!? Maybe I’m losing my marbles but I’m willing to take a rip on the Giants not to get demolished.
Yank’s Bet: $17.25 on Turkey Dinner (-115)
Sam’s Bet: $5.00 on Turkey Dinner (-120)
Bet #3 Pumpkin Pie: 2 Team Moneyline Parlay – Packers and Chiefs
Yank: We wanted to have a bet on every Thanksgiving (or Thanksgiving ish in the case of Black Friday) game as is tradition, but we did not trust the Packers to cover more than a FG. Enter the Chiefs playing the awful Raiders. The Chiefs have shown a propensity to pull games out of their rear ends all year, let’s throw that with the Packers to win at Lambeau at night in the cold which feels bankable.
Sam: You always want to cap off a great meal with some dessert. In this case, we’re taking the Packers and Chiefs in a Moneyline Parlay. Chiefs may not win pretty, but they win. While the Packers have the better coach in the Packers and Dolphins game. In what should be the best game of the slate, we’ll take the coaching advantage every time.
Yank’s Bet: $10.00 on Pumpkin Pie (-124)
Sam’s Bet: $10.00 on Pumpkin Pie (-124)
