NFL Conference Championship Sunday – 2025

Intro by Yank

All of a sudden football season is almost over. It’s the last weekend of the season with multiple football games folks, I can’t believe we’re here already. Let’s keep the sadness at bay by doing what we do best, making more wagers than is strictly advisable!

The Washington Commanders @ the Philadelphia Eagles-6 – 3:00 PM ET

Yank: This is the absolute nightmare scenario matchup for me as a Giants fan. Either of these teams making the Super Bowl will leave a bad taste in my mouth. Unfortunately having watched both these teams play a bunch I don’t expect a particularly close or interesting game. Washington’s defense is 30th in DVOA against the run and they will be without stalwart defensive tackle Daron Payne. Detroit just ran the ball for 200 yards on them last week. Philadelphia, you may have noticed, has Saquon Barkley. He’s going slice through that defense like the chainsaw Olympics guys they used to show on ESPN2 on Saturday mornings carving up logs for speed. We’re taking Saquon to have a huge game every which way.

Sam: I am soooo tempted to back the Commanders here. They are a fun story – especially when you read the stories about how pissed Dan Snyder is that they’re in an NFC Championship game a year after he sold the team. How awesome is that? That being said, I think there is too much hype being handed out to Daniels at this stage. Yes, he’s been playing awesome, but he is still a rookie and they’re at a talent disadvantage in this one. Throw in that Vegas needs an Eagles win, and I’m going to hold my nose and back the Eagles – and particularly Saquon – to have a big day.

Yank’s Pick:

  • $13.50 on an Eagles ML+Saquon anytime TD parlay (-135)
  • $15.00 on Saquon rushing attempts O24.5 (+100)
  • $11.30 on Saquon rushing yards O125.5 (-113)
  • $11.00 on Saquon rushing+receiving yards O142.5 (-110)
  • $11.00 on Saquon longest rush O23.5 (-110)
  • $10.00 on a Goedert O3.5 receptions+O40.5 yards parlay (+130)

Sam’s Pick:

  • $8.50 on an Eagles ML+O47 total points parlay (+164)
  • $10.00 on a Saquon rushing+receiving yards O150 + O20 rushing attempts parlay (+106)
  • $10.00 on Saquon longest rush O26.5 (-125)
  • $10.00 on Jayden Daniels longest Rush O15.5 (-125)
  • $3.50 on a Goedert O4 receptions+O40 yards+anytime TD parlay (+550)

The Buffalo Bills @ the Kansas City Chiefs-2.5 – 6:30 PM ET

Sam: As annoying as some people find the Chiefs success, isn’t it awesome to see the two best QBs with already so much playoff history go against each other? The drama is awesome. It reminds me of those Manning vs Brady games… don’t let me get ahead of myself, but you know what I mean. It’s two of the biggest names currently and will be cold, fun football. We’ll have some ref drama and lots of debate about the better QB after this one. I for one, can’t wait. Similar to the Commanders, it’s easy to root for the Bills. Everyone thought they’d take a step back this year, but Allen has them looking unbeatable at times. Nevertheless, the books – and probably the NFL –  want the Chiefs to win this one. Usually, it pays to be on their side.

Yank: This one unfortunately feels scripted like that old NFL commercial everyone hated. All the Chiefs do is win playoff games and make the Super Bowl. The Bills are like the mid-2010s Pacers against LeBron and the Heatles: a worthy adversary but one that never seems to get over the top. Personally, I will be rooting for Josh Allen and the Bills but in terms of betting money, it’s just too difficult to go against Patrick Mahomes, the Arrowhead crowd, and the 1-2 questionable calls that we all know are coming.

Yank’s Pick: $11.00 on the Chiefs-2 (-110)

Sam’s Pick: $5.00 on the Chiefs ML (-125) and $5.00 on a Chiefs ML+O48.5 parlay (+230)
