I saw a video of them putting up the giant Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center this week. Man, what a process. The seasons are changing, and Sam and I are hoping to find reasons to celebrate. Hopefully, much like that big tree, we can prove that we’re back in our New York groove this weekend with some winning picks.
Week 10 Picks
The Collaboration
The Detroit Lions-7.5 @ the Washington Commanders
The Buffalo Bills-8.5 @ the Miami Dolphins
Yank: We believe in the Lions and Bills as two of the best teams in the league. Meanwhile, due to injury (Commies) or lack of talent (Dolphins), their opponents have been two of the worst teams in the league. Seems pretty straightforward! Let’s underthink these two and take the good teams.
Sam: After getting absolutely wrecked by my team last week, I expect the Lions to have a big bounce-back performance, and why not against a team as listless as the Commies? Meanwhile, the Bills are another team that can put up points in a hurry. I know the last time these two played it was a semi-close game and the Dolphins covered, but that was a Thursday Night and there’s a reason we don’t bet on those games.

The Confrontation
The Arizona Cardinals @ the Seattle Seahawks-7
Sam: I gave a couple of picks as options to Yank for this weekend’s Confrontation. For this one, my justification was that Jacoby Brisset didn’t look horrible, so the Cardinals might be decent enough to cover 7 points? Meanwhile, I haven’t watched a minute of Cardinals football despite having NFL Sunday Ticket, so Yank probably chose the right game.
Yank: This is a pick based on the idea that “the Seahawks are for real”. Frankly, I don’t feel good about the Seahawks being for real. I definitely don’t believe in Sam Darnold. But sometimes going against me is the best pick you can make. Let’s ride with the Seahawks.

The Money Line Parlay of the Week
The New Orleans Saints @ the Carolina Panthers -5.5
The Los Angeles Rams-5.5 @ the San Francisco 49ers
Yank: Step one: find a way to bet against the Saints every week. They are awful. Step two: take a shot on a tough game for a favorite on the road. Panthers+Niners moneyline parlay here we come!
Sam: Yank lays step one out pretty clearly. Hammer the team playing the Saints. Check. For matchup two, we find ourselves betting a banged-up 49ers team against a really good-looking Rams team. The reason to throw them in this one is that this is a division game, where anything can happen, and Shanahan has a winning record (11-7) against McVay. Let’s hope he extends his head-to-head record this weekend.
